Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to Diesel/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief 
  2. Remove the oil fill cap.
  3. GM5335087

    Lift up on the front of the intake manifold cover (1).

  4. GM5335089

    Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Remove

  5. GM5403825

    Reposition wiring harness as necessary.

  6. Fuel Feed Pipe (1) @ Fuel Pump - Disconnect - Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  7. GM5518959

    Disconnect transmission vent hose retainer and reposition.

  8. GM5670364

    Reposition wiring harness as necessary.

  9. Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe Bolt (1) - Remove
  10. Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Front Pipe Nut (3) - Remove [2x]
  11. Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe (2) - Remove and DISCARD
