Installation Procedure
Position charge air cooler inlet air tube (2) perpendicular to charge air cooler (2) and install.
- Retainer Spring (1) - Engage
- Verify connection is properly made by pulling and pushing on the tube at the quick connector location.
Front Wheelhouse Liner (3) - Install
- Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (2) - Install [4x]
- Front Wheelhouse Liner Screw (1) - Install and tighten [7x] - Fastener Specifications
Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Screw (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Front Bumper Upper Fascia Screw (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- If equipped with AWD:
Engine Front Splash Shield (3) - Install
- Push Pin (1) - Install
- Engine Front Splash Shield Screw (2) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications
- If equipped with RWD:
Engine Front Splash Shield (3) - Install
- Push Pin (2) - Install [2x]
- Engine Front Splash Shield Screw (1) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications
- If equipped with AWD:
Front Tire Front Air Deflector (2) - Install
- Front Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube (2) @ Turbocharger (3) - Install
- Retainer Spring (1) - Engage
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (1) - Install
- Connect the electrical connector.
Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (3) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (2) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Start vehicle and listen for whistling at the charge air cooler inlet air tube quick connect located at the charge air cooler.
Verify the charge air cooler inlet and outlet air tube quick connect seal condition and location prior to installation. Seal must be evenly seated in the quick connector body and sealing surface must be free of deformation and damage. Deformed or damaged seals can lead to reduced engine power and/or engine stalling.
DO NOT insert fingers inside quick connect to manipulate duct during disassembly/assembly. Rubber pad gloves increase risk to dislodge seal.
