Installation Procedure

  1. GM5448555

    Radiator Outlet Hose (4) - Install

  2. Install the radiator outlet hose retainer (3) into the radiator outlet hose connector.
  3. Install the radiator outlet hose (4) to the charge air cooler ensuring that the radiator outlet hose retainer (3) is fully engaged.
  4. Radiator Outlet Hose Clip (2) - Install
  5. Radiator Outlet Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Install the air cleaner (1) and air cleaner outlet duct (2) as an assembly.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

    Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (2) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications

    8. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  9. Air Cleaner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  10. GM5427515

    Electrical Connector (4) - Connect [2x]

  11. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (3) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  12. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (2) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  13. Wiring Harness Retainer (1) @ Air Cleaner Assembly - Install [4x]
  14. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 GE 47716) 
  15. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
