Installation Procedure

  1. GM5479540

    Radiator Outlet Hose (4) - Install

  2. Install the radiator outlet hose retainer (2) into the radiator outlet hose connector.
  3. Install the radiator outlet hose (4) to the engine auxiliary radiator ensuring that the radiator outlet hose retainer (2) is fully engaged.
  4. Radiator Outlet Hose Clip (3) - Install
  5. Radiator Outlet Hose Clamp (1) - Engage [3x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Install the air cleaner (1) and air cleaner outlet duct (2) as an assembly.

  7. GM5479537

    Engine Wiring Harness (3) - Move into position

  8. Wiring Harness Retainer (2) @ Air Cleaner Assembly - Install [4x]
    9. CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

  9. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
  10. GM5479536

    Electrical Connector (4) - Connect [2x]

  11. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (3) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  12. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (2) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
    13. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  13. Air Cleaner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  14. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716) 
  15. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
