Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716) 
  2. Drain the engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (RWD)

    Hose Clamp (1) - Disengage [2x] - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type 

  4. Engine Oil Cooler Coolant Outlet Hose (2) @ Engine Oil Cooler - Remove
  5. Engine Oil Cooler Coolant Inlet Hose (3) @ Engine Oil Cooler - Remove
  6. GM5396459

    Engine Oil Cooler Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

  7. GM5396466

    Engine Oil Cooler (1) - Remove

  8. Engine Oil Cooler Seal (2) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
