Installation Procedure

    Windshield Defroster Outlet Duct (1) - Install

    With the aid of an assistant, position the instrument panel tie bar assembly into the vehicle. (1)

  3. Install the instrument panel wiring harness to the position noted in the removal procedure.
  4. Connect and position the wiring harness.
  5. Remove the support from the heater and air conditioning and evaporator blower module.

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  7. Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Tie Bar Brace Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Serial Data Gateway Bracket (2) - Install

  13. Serial Data Gateway Module Bracket Bolt (1) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  14. Connect and position the wiring harness.

    Connect the electrical connectors. (1)

    Air Distributor Duct Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  23. Air Distributor Duct Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  24. Connect the electrical connector.

    Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct - Left Side (1) - Install

    Side Window Defogger Outlet Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Duct (1) - Install

  28. Clip the harness onto the instrument panel center air outlet duct.

    Air Distributor Duct Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Instrument Panel Carrier (1) - Install - Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (without Head Up Display) , or Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (with Head Up Display)

    Install the windshield wiper system module (2) in the vehicle.

  32. Windshield Wiper System Module Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  33. Connect the windshield wiper motor electrical connector.
  34. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

    Windshield Wiper System Module Shield (1) - Install

    Air Inlet Grille Panel (2) - Install

  37. Install the air inlet grille panel (2) between both hood hinges.
  38. Connect the windshield washer nozzle hose to the windshield washer pump hose.
  39. Air Inlet Grille Panel Retainer (1) - Install [6x]

    Hood Rear Outer Air Inlet Seal (2) - Install [2x]

    Air Inlet Grille Panel Extension (1) - Install [2x]

  43. Install the air inlet grille panel extension (1).
  44. Remove the masking tape from the top edge of the service part.
  45. Using a 50/50 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water with a clean towel, remove any left over adhesive residue from the masking tape.

    Align the windshield wipers (1) to their respective alignment circles (2) on the windshield.

    Position the windshield wiper arms (3) onto the windshield wiper transmission pivot shafts.

  48. Windshield Wiper Arm Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  49. Lubricate the windshield with clean washer fluid.
  50. Run the windshield wipers for two complete cycles then turn off the windshield wipers.
  51. Ensure the windshield wipers are in the full park position.
  52. Inspect the windshield wipers for proper position to the alignment circles on the windshield.
  53. If alignment is required, remove the windshield wiper arms and repeat steps 46 through 53 to achieve the proper windshield wiper (3) alignment.
  54. Windshield Wiper Arm Finish Cap (1) - Install [2x]
