Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging 
  2. Oil Filler Cap - Remove

    Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Remove

  4. Intake Manifold Cover (2) - Remove
  5. Install the oil filler cap after removal of the intake manifold cover to prevent debris from falling into the engine.

    CAUTION:

    The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) line is tamper resistant and must always be replaced once it is removed. The fittings connected to the PCV line must also be replaced if they are damaged when the PCV line is removed. To reduce the risk of damage to the fittings, use a suitable cutting tool and carefully cut the connections away.

    Using a suitable cutting tool, carefully cut the 2 positive crankcase ventilation tube connectors (1).

  7. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Fresh Air Tube (2) - Remove and DISCARD

    Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator Vacuum Tank Solenoid Valve Tube (1) - Disconnect and reposition - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

  9. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (2) - Loosen

    Charge Air Bypass Valve Hose Clamp (1) - Loosen

  11. Charge Air Bypass Valve Hose (2) - Reposition
  12. Retainer Spring (3) - Disengage

    Auxiliary Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (1) - Remove

    Air Conditioning Condenser Hose Nut (1) - Remove

  15. Air Conditioning Evaporative Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose (2) - Remove
  16. Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Seal - Large (3) - Remove and DISCARD

    Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) - Remove

  18. Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Seal - Small (2) - Remove and DISCARD

    Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Nut (2) - Remove

  20. Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) - Remove
  21. Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Seal (3) - Remove and DISCARD

    Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Clip Nut (1) - Remove

    Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Hose Nut (4) - Remove

  24. Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (3) - Remove
  25. Air Conditioning Condenser Hose Seal (2) - Remove and DISCARD
  26. Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Seal (1) - Remove and DISCARD
