Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging 
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  3. Remove the left front tire and wheel. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

    NOTE:

    Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.

    Front Compartment Air Deflector Retainer (2) - Remove [2x]

  5. Engine Front Splash Shield Screw (1) - Remove [5x]
  6. Engine Front Splash Shield (3) - Remove

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove [5x]

  8. Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Retainer (2) - Remove [2x]

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Remove

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (3) - Remove

  11. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Remove [2x]
  12. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Remove

    Front Compartment Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

  14. Front Compartment Air Deflector (2) - Remove

    Using the appropriate tool, rotate the drive belt tensioner (1) counterclockwise to release the tension on the accessory drive primary belt for removal.

    Accessory Drive Primary Belt (1) - Remove

  17. Slowly release tension on the drive belt tensioner and remove the tool.

    Disconnect the electrical connectors. (1) [3x]

    Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Nut (1) - Remove

    Air Conditioning Evaporative Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose (1) @ Air Conditioning Compressor - Remove

  21. Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Seal (2) - Remove and DISCARD
  22. Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Seal (3) - Remove and DISCARD

    Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt (1) - Remove

    Air Conditioning Compressor Nut (1) - Remove

  25. Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt (2) - Remove
  26. Maneuver the air conditioning compressor (3) out from the engine compartment.
