Installation Procedure

    Air Conditioning Compressor Front Bracket (3) - Install

  2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Air Conditioning Compressor Front Bracket Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  4. Air Conditioning Compressor Front Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Drive Belt Tensioner (2) - Install

  6. Drive Belt Tensioner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Air Conditioning Compressor (1) - Install

    Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Seal - Small (1) - Install NEW

  10. Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Seal - Large (2) - Install NEW
  11. Air Conditioning Evaporative Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose (3) - Install
  12. Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Bolt (4) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Wiring Harness Retainer (3) - Install [2x]

  14. Electrical Connector (4) - Connect [2x]
  15. Air Conditioning Compressor Rear Bracket (2) - Install
  16. Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Install the front cradle sheer plate (2) between the front bumper fascia center air deflector and the driveline and front suspension cradle and raise into position.

  18. Ensure that the left and right side wheelhouse liners (1) are positioned in place under the front cradle sheer plate (2).

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Crossmember Brace Bolt (3) - Install and tighten [8x] - Fastener Specifications

  21. Front Cradle Shear Plate Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  22. Front Cradle Shear Plate Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  23. Remove the jack.

    Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Retainer (2) - Install

    Front Compartment Air Deflector- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install

    Front Bumper Fascia Lower Stiffener Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (3) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications

  28. Front Compartment Air Deflector Retainer- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x]
  29. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  30. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

    Position the accessory drive primary belt (2) onto all but one of the idler pulleys.

  32. Use a suitable tool to rotate the drive belt tensioner (1) counterclockwise, then hold tension.
  33. Install the accessory drive primary belt (2) onto the last idler pulley. Check to ensure that the drive belt is centered on each pulley, and fully seated into ribbed pulleys.
  34. Slowly release tension from the drive belt tensioner (1).
  35. Inspect the accessory drive primary belt (2) again to ensure centered on each pulley.

    Auxiliary Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (1) - Install

    Retainer Spring (3) - Engage

  38. Charge Air Bypass Valve Hose (2) - Install
  39. Charge Air Bypass Valve Hose Clamp (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator Vacuum Tank Solenoid Valve Tube (1) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    Install the NEW positive crank ventilation fresh air tube (2) and secure the 2 positive crankcase ventilation tube connectors (1).

    Air Cleaner Assembly (2) - Install

  43. Air Cleaner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  44. Install all retainers and wiring harnesses to the air cleaner assembly as necessary.
  45. Connect the 2 mass airflow sensor electrical connectors.

    Auxiliary Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (4) - Install

  47. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (3) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
  48. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (2) - Install
  49. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace- Left Side and Right Side (3) - Install [2x]

  51. Front Suspension Strut Upper Mounting Nut- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  52. Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications
  53. Install all wiring harness retainers to the front end sheet metal cross braces.

    Radiator Air Upper Baffle- Upper (3) - Install

  55. Radiator Air Upper Baffle Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Transmission Control Module (1) @ Engine Control Module Bracket (2) - Install

    Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Pipe (3) - Install

    Oil Filler Cap - Remove

  67. Intake Manifold Cover (2) - Install
  68. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  69. Oil Filler Cap - Install
  70. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 GE 47716)
  71. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  72. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
  73. Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
