Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Remove

  4. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Remove [2x]
  5. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (3) - Remove

    Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt- Right Side (1) - Remove [2x]

  7. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer- Right Side (2) - Remove [2x]

    Front Compartment Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove [9x]

  9. Front Compartment Air Deflector Retainer (2) - Remove [2x]

    Front Compartment Air Deflector (1) - Remove

    NOTE:

    Do NOT allow the ball stud to rotate while loosening the nut.

    Front Lower Control Arm Ball Stud Nut (1) - Loosen

    Using the CH-42188-B  Ball Joint Separator (1), separate the front lower control rear link from the steering knuckle.

    Front Lower Control Arm Ball Stud Nut (1) - Remove

    Front Lower Control Arm Rear Nut (1) - Remove

  15. Front Lower Control Arm Rear Bolt (2) - Remove and DISCARD
  16. Front Lower Control Rear Link (3) - Remove
