Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  3. Remove the rear tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

    { If equipped } Rear Disc Brake Pad Wear Sensor (1) @ Rear Disc Brake Inner Pad - Remove

    Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Bolt (2) - Remove [2x]

  6. CAUTION:

    Support the brake caliper with heavy mechanic wire, or equivalent, whenever it is separated from its mount and the hydraulic flexible brake hose is still connected. Failure to support the caliper in this manner will cause the flexible brake hose to bear the weight of the caliper, which may cause damage to the brake hose and in turn may cause a brake fluid leak.

  7. Remove the brake caliper and support with heavy mechanics wire. (1)

    Disconnect the parking brake actuator electrical connector.

  9. Parking Brake Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
  10. Parking Brake Caliper (2) - Remove

    Rear Brake Rotor Bolt (1) - Remove

  12. Rear Brake Rotor (2) - Remove
