Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

    Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (3) - Remove [2x]

  4. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Remove [5x]
  5. Engine Front Splash Shield (2) - Remove

    Pull the front wheelhouse liner outwards to gain clearance to disconnect the electrical connector (1), and to release the retainer (2).

  7. Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect
  8. Retainer (2) - Release
  9. Retainer (3) - Release [3x]

    Retainer (1) - Release [2x]

    Front Brake Caliper Bleeder Valve Cap (1) - Remove

  12. NOTE:

    If sensor is worn from contact with the front brake rotor, then the front disc brake pads must be replaced as well. Front Disc Brake Pads Replacement (JE5) , or Front Disc Brake Pads Replacement (J55) , or Front Disc Brake Pads Replacement (J6G) 

  13. Front Disc Brake Pad Wear Sensor (2) - Remove
