Conditions for Setting the DTC

The transfer case control module detects an invalid transfer case clutch identifier number in memory.
The valid production transfer case clutch identifier numbers are 1 - 9, when programming utilize the transfer case clutch calibration identification number from the transfer case tag.
The valid service part transfer case clutch identifier numbers are 1 - 9, when a complete transfer case assembly is replaced utilize the transfer case clutch calibration identification number from the transfer case tag.
The valid transfer case clutch calibration identification number is 9, when transfer case clutch is replaced.
