Circuit/System Testing

- Ignition OFF, disconnect the X1 connector at the K29F Front Seat Heater Control Module.
- Verify a test lamp illuminates between ground circuit terminal 8 and B+.
- If the test lamp does not illuminate
Repair the open/high resistance on circuit 50 or the ground connection.
- Go to next step: If the test lamp illuminates
- If the test lamp does not illuminate
- Verify a test lamp illuminates between the following B+ circuit terminals and ground.
- Terminal 7 = Circuit 6640
- Terminal 10 = Circuit 5240
- If the test lamp does not illuminate and the circuit fuse is good
- Repair the open/high resistance on the appropriate circuit:
- Terminal 7 = Circuit 6640
- Terminal 10 = Circuit 5240
- If the test lamp does not illuminate and the circuit fuse is open
- Test the appropriate circuit for a short to ground:
- Terminal 7 = Circuit 6640
- Terminal 10 = Circuit 5240
- If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If a short to ground is not found
- Replace the K29F Front Seat Heater Control Module.
- Go to next step: If the test lamp illuminates
- Replace the K29F Front Seat Heater Control Module.
