Removal Procedure

  1. Intake Manifold Cover - Remove - Intake Manifold Cover Replacement 
  2. Remove the upper front end sheet metal cross brace. Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Replacement - Upper (Blackwing)
  3. Intake Manifold Cover Insulator - Remove - Intake Manifold Cover Insulator Replacement 
  4. Fuel Feed Front Hose - Remove - Fuel Feed Front Hose Replacement
    5. NOTE:

    Note the location and routing of the wiring harness to ensure proper reinstallation.

  5. Detach harness retainers as necessary.

    Charge Air Cooler Cover Bolt (1) - Remove [7x]

  7. Charge Air Cooler Cover Bolt (2) - Remove [6x]
  8. Charge Air Cooler Cover Bolt (3) - Remove [7x]
  9. Charge Air Cooler Cover (4) - Remove
  10. Charge Air Cooler Housing Gasket (5) - Remove and DISCARD
