Installation Procedure

    CAUTION:

    The camshaft position actuator solenoid valves must be kept parallel to the engine front cover during removal and installation. The camshaft position actuator solenoid valves can be damaged if they become wedged or stuck during this process.

    NOTE:

    It is possible to push the camshaft rearward when installing the CMP actuator Valve. Be careful not to push the camshaft while installing the CMP actuator valve.

    Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve (1) - Install NEW and tighten

    1. First Pass: 65 N.m (48 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass: Tighten 90 degrees using EN-45059-A  Angle Meter.

    EN-42386-A  Flywheel Holding Tool (1) - Remove

  3. Camshaft Position Actuator Magnet - Install - Camshaft Position Actuator Magnet Replacement 
  4. Starter - Install - Starter Replacement (LT4) .
