Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2022 Cadillac CT5. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Set the parking brake in Service Mode.
    1. Install a scan tool.
    2. Turn the ignition ON with the engine OFF.
    3. Select Electronic Brake Control Module.
    4. Select Control Functions.
    5. NOTE:

      Do NOT apply any brake pressure during this step.

    6. Select Rear Brake Caliper Piston Retract.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57) .

    Parking Brake Actuator Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

    Electrical Connector (1) @ Rear Parking Brake Actuator - Disconnect

  6. Retainer (2) @ Rear Parking Brake Actuator - Remove

    Rear Parking Brake Actuator (1) - Remove

  8. Rear Parking Brake Actuator Lever Seal (2) - Remove and DISCARD
