Adjustment Procedure

- Before performing any adjustment affecting the wheel alignment, perform the wheel alignment measurement. Wheel Alignment Measurement
Determine the actual camber, Positive (+) or Negative (-).
- Raise the front of the vehicle following the alignment machine instructions. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Remove the front tire and wheel assembly following the alignment machine instructions. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57)
- NOTE:
A service camber adjusting bolt is available, refer to the electronic parts catalog for proper application.
Install the service camber adjusting bolt (2) into the threaded hole at the top of the steering knuckle and gently tighten until it is snug against the front suspension strut body.
- Loosen the 2 steering knuckle nuts (1) and remove the 2 steering knuckle bolts (3) enough to disengage the splines from the steering knuckle. Strut Assembly Removal and Installation (FE2, FE3, without F55) , or Strut Assembly Removal and Installation (FE3, FE4, with F55)
- Rotate the service camber adjusting bolt (2) as necessary to achieve the desired camber setting. Wheel Alignment Specifications
- Tighten the 2 steering knuckle nuts (1) to specification. Strut Assembly Removal and Installation (FE2, FE3, without F55) , or Strut Assembly Removal and Installation (FE3, FE4, with F55)
- Install the front tire and wheel assembly following the alignment machine instructions. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57)
- Lower the front of the vehicle following the alignment machine instructions.
- Re-inspect the camber settings, readjust if necessary.
- Adjust the front toe. Wheel Alignment - Steering Wheel Angle and/or Front Toe Adjustment
NOTE:
After adjusting the front camber, it is necessary to adjust the front toe.
