Removal Procedure
Oil Level Indicator Tube (1) - Remove - Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement
- NOTE:
It is not necessary to discharge the air conditioning system. Remove the air conditioning compressor from the engine and set aside.
Air Conditioning Compressor (3) - Remove and position aside - Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LSY)
Automatic Transmission Fluid Cooling Exchanger (1) - Remove - Automatic Transmission Fluid Cooling Exchanger Replacement (LSY, without V03) , or Automatic Transmission Fluid Cooling Exchanger Replacement (LSY, RWD, with V03)
Engine Oil Cooler (2) - Remove - Engine Oil Cooler Replacement (LSY)
Electrical Connector (1) - Disconnect
- Engine Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt (2) - Remove
Oil Pump Screen (2) - Remove - Oil Pump Screen Replacement
Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator Drain Pipe (1) - Remove - Positive Crankcase Ventilation Oil Separator Drain Pipe Replacement
Automatic Transmission Flex Plate (1) - Remove - Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Replacement
- Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing - Remove - Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing Replacement
Balance Chain (1) - Remove - Balancer Chain Replacement
- Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Housing Seal - Remove - Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Housing Replacement
- Front Differential Carrier Assembly - Remove - Front Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (LSY)
Engine Mount Bracket Bolt-Left Side (1) - Remove
Oil Filter Bypass Valve (1) - Remove
- NOTE:
Take note that there are different bolt lengths.
Engine Block Lower Structural Extension Outer Bolts (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) - Remove [15x]
- NOTE:
Take note that there are different bolt lengths.
Engine Block Lower Structural Extension Inner Bolts (1, 2, 3) - Remove [3x]
Loosen the engine block lower structural extension carefully from the engine block, use a suitable tool at the location as shown to pry (1, 2, 3).
Lower Crankcase Extension (3) - Remove
- Clean, inspect and overhaul the lower crankcase extension as needed Lower Crankcase Extension Overhaul
