Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
Fuse Block Cover (1) - Remove
- Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) - Remove
- Battery Negative Cable Ground Bolt (3) - Remove
- Retainer (4) - Disengage [5x]
- Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable (5) - Reposition away
- Remove the left side warm up three-way catalytic converter. Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (LGY)
Retainer (1) - Remove [3x]
- Electrical Connector (2) - Disconnect
Battery Negative Cable Ground Stud (1) - Remove
- Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable (2) - Remove
Starter Heat Shield Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Starter Heat Shield (2) - Remove
Front Compartment Air Deflector (1) - Remove - Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement (AWD) , or Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement (RWD) , or Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement (Blackwing)
Starter Bolt (1) - Remove
- Battery Cable Terminal Bolt (3) - Remove
- Starter Bolt (4) - Remove
- Reposition the starter (2) to access the electrical connections.
Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) @Starter Solenoid - Remove
- Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable (1) - Remove
- Lower the vehicle.
Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable (1) - Remove
