Removal Procedure

- Remove the right rear wheel. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57)
Rear Tire Front Air Deflector(2) - Remove
Rear Wheelhouse Liner(2) - Remove - Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement
Fuel Tank Filler Door(1) - Remove - Fuel Tank Filler Door Replacement
Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Ground Bolt(1) - Remove
Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Ground Bolt(1) - Remove
- Lift the fuel tank filler pipe up and out to disengage tab from vehicle.
- Reposition the fuel tank filler pipe rearward and rotate outward from under the body side outer panel to remove from fuel tank filler pipe housing.
Rotate fuel tank filler pipe housing (1) to remove from body side outer panel
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
NOTE:
When replacing the fuel tank filler pipe housing or door, always install NEW fuel labels to the component that was replaced.
