    • If the test lamp does not illuminate
    1. Test circuit 6009 for an open/high resistance.
      • If open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If open/high resistance is not found
    2. Replace the K9 Body Control Module
    • Go to next step: If the test lamp illuminates
  3. Ignition ON.
  4. Verify the scan tool Windshield Wiper Switch parameter is not High.
    • If High
    1. Test circuit 1715 for a short to ground.
      • If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If a short to ground is not found
    2. Replace the K9 Body Control Module
    • Go to next step: If not High
  5. Install a 3 A fused jumper wire between the signal circuit terminal 2 and the low reference circuit terminal 1.
  6. Verify the scan tool Windshield Wiper Switch parameter is High.
    • If not High
    1. Test circuit 1715 for a short to voltage.
      • If a short to voltage is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If a short to voltage is not found
    2. Test circuit 1715 for an open/high resistance.
      • If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found.
    3. Replace the K219 Lighting Control Module.
    • Go to next step: If High
  7. Test for 4.8 - 5.2 V between the signal circuit terminal 3 and ground.
    • If less than 4.8 V
    1. Test circuit 1714 for a short to ground.
      • If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If a short to ground is not found.
    2. Test circuit 1714 for an open/high resistance.
      • If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • If less than 2 Ω, replace the K9 Body Control Module.
      • Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found.
    3. Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
    • If greater than 5.2 V
    1. Test circuit 1714 for a short to voltage.
      • If a short to voltage is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If a short to voltage is not found.
    2. Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
    • Go to next step: If 4.8 - 5.2 V
  8. Test or replace the S82 Windshield Wiper/Washer Switch.

Windshield Wiper Motor Malfunction

  1. Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF, disconnect the KR12B Windshield Wiper Motor Relay. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify a test lamp illuminates between control circuit terminal 85 and ground circuit terminal 86.
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate
    1. Test circuit 750 for an open/high resistance.
      • If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found.
    2. Test circuit 91 for a short to ground.
      • If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If a short to ground is not found.
    3. Test circuit 91 for an open/high resistance.
      • If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit.
      • Go to next step: If an open/high resistance is not found.
    4. Replace the K219 Lighting Control Module.
    • Go to next step: If the test lamp does not illuminate
  3. Verify a test lamp illuminates between terminal 30 and ground.
    • Go to next step: If the test lamp illuminates
  4. Ignition OFF, connect the KR12B Windshield Wiper Motor Relay. Disconnect the connector at the M75 Windshield Wiper Motor.
