Installation Procedure
Front Seat Cushion Frame (3) - Install
- Front Seat Adjuster Stop (2) - Install [2x]
- If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the components. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the component.
- Front Seat Upper Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Front Seat Back Frame Replacement (Blackwing)
Front Seat Cushion Pad Support (1) - Install - Front Seat Cushion Pad Support Replacement
Front Seat Lumbar Support (1) - Install
- Install the retainers.
Front Seat Cushion Outer Finish Cover Support (1) - Install [2x] - Front Seat Cushion Outer Finish Cover Support Replacement
Front Seat Cushion Cover Retainer - Power Sideshield (2) - Install - Front Seat Cushion Cover Retainer Replacement (Power Sideshield)
Front Seat Cushion Cover Retainer - Front Sideshield (2) - Install - Front Seat Cushion Cover Retainer Replacement (Front Sideshield)
Front Seat Adjuster Memory Module Bracket (2) - Install - Front Seat Adjuster Memory Module Bracket Replacement
Front Seat Belt Buckle (2) - Install - Front Seat Belt Buckle Replacement (Blackwing)
Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad (1, 2) - Install - Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Blackwing)
The new cushion frame may not have adjuster stops installed. Transfer the adjuster stops from original frame or install new as needed. The frame may need to be adjusted to access the adjuster stops.
