Removal Procedure
Propeller Shaft (1) - Remove - Propeller Shaft Replacement (without LT4) , or Propeller Shaft Replacement (AWD)
- NOTE:
Left side shown, right side similar.
Rear Suspension Upper Trailing Link - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [2x] - Rear Suspension Upper Trailing Link Replacement (FE2, FE3) , or Rear Suspension Upper Trailing Link Replacement (FE4)
- NOTE:
Left side shown, right side similar.
Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [2x] - Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Replacement
- NOTE:

Rear Brake Hose Clip Bolt - Left Side and Right Side (1) @ Rear Suspension Upper Control Arm - Remove
- NOTE:
Left side shown, right side similar.
CAUTION:Support the brake caliper with heavy mechanic wire, or equivalent, whenever it is separated from its mount and the hydraulic flexible brake hose is still connected. Failure to support the caliper in this manner will cause the flexible brake hose to bear the weight of the caliper, which may cause damage to the brake hose and in turn may cause a brake fluid leak.
Remove the left and right rear brake caliper brackets and brake calipers (2) as assemblies and support with heavy mechanics wire. Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement

Remove the left and right rear suspension brackets (2). Rear Suspension Bracket Replacement - Rear
Using a suitable jack stand (1), support the differential carrier.
Position a block of wood (1) and a suitable jack stand (2) between the frame of the vehicle and the left rear suspension bracket.
- NOTE:
DO NOT raise the vehicle higher than necessary.
Using the block of wood and a suitable jack stand (1), raise the vehicle just enough to reposition the hoist pad (2) from under the vehicle.
Rear Suspension Bracket Bolt - Left Side (1) - Remove
- Rear Suspension Bracket Bolt - Left Side (4) - Remove
- Rear Suspension Cradle Front Bolt - Left Side (3) - Remove
- Rear Suspension Bracket - Left Side (2) - Remove
- Rear Suspension Cradle Front Bolt - Left Side (3) - Install and hand tighten
DO NOT ATTEMPT OTHER REPAIRS WITH JACK STANDS IN PLACE.
Reposition the hoist lift pad (2) back underneath the vehicle.
- Using the jack stand (1) and the block of wood, slowly lower the vehicle back on the hoist pad (2).
Remove the jack stand (2) and the block of wood (1) from underneath the vehicle.

Position a block of wood (1) and a suitable jack stand (2) between the frame of the vehicle and the right rear suspension bracket.
- NOTE:

- DO NOT raise the vehicle higher than necessary.
Using the block of wood and a suitable jack stand (1), raise the vehicle just enough to reposition the hoist pad (2) from under the vehicle.

Rear Suspension Bracket Bolt - Right Side (1) - Remove
- Rear Suspension Bracket Bolt - Right Side (4) - Remove
- Rear Suspension Cradle Front Bolt - Right Side (3) - Remove
- Rear Suspension Bracket - Right Side (2) - Remove
- Rear Suspension Cradle Front Bolt - Right Side (3) - Install and hand tighten.
DO NOT ATTEMPT OTHER REPAIRS WITH JACK STANDS IN PLACE.

Reposition the hoist lift pad (2) back underneath the vehicle.
- Using the jack stand (1) and the block of wood, slowly lower the vehicle back on the hoist pad (2).
- NOTE:

Remove the jack stand (2) and the block of wood (1) from underneath the vehicle.
Remove the jack stand (1) supporting the differential carrier.
- WARNING:
Provide additional support when a vehicle is on a hoist in the following ways:
- Before removing parts, support the opposite end. This helps prevent the vehicle from slipping off.
- Before removing major components, chain the vehicle frame to the hoist pads at the same end as the removal. This helps avoid a tip-off.
Failure to follow these precautions could cause vehicle damage, serious personal injury, or death.
Support the front of the vehicle with a suitable jack stand(s).
- Position the GE-52200 Lifting Table under the rear suspension cradle and raise it into position.
- Secure the rear suspension cradle to the lifting table with straps.
- Rear Suspension Cradle Rear Bolt (1) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
- Rear Suspension Cradle Front Bolt (2) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
- NOTE:
Remove the cradle with the suspension links and components attached as shown.
Using the GE-52200 Lifting Table, lower the rear suspension cradle 6 - 8 inches and disconnect any remaining electrical connectors and retainers.
