Installation Procedure
- CAUTION:
Phenolic spacer must be present to prevent galvanic/corrosive reaction and/or excessive temperature conduction between engine mount bracket and engine mount. Replace mount if phenolic spacer is missing or damaged. Failure to ensure phenolic spacer is intact and not damaged can lead to premature failure of engine mount and/or engine mount bracket.
Inspect each engine mount to ensure the phenolic spacer (1) is in place and not damaged.
Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle (1) - Install
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution
CAUTION:This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.
Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Front Bolt (1) - Install NEW and tighten [4x]
- First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
- Final Pass: (90 - 105 degrees)
- Drivetrain and Front Suspension Cradle Rear Bolt (2) - Install NEW and tighten [2x]
- First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
- Final Pass: (90 - 105 degrees)
- Remove the jack or support stand from the drivetrain and front suspension cradle.
Intermediate Steering Shaft (1) @ Steering Gear - Install - Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement (RWD)
Charge Air Cooler Bracket Plate Stud (2) - Install and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Charge Air Cooler Coolant Pump Nut (1) - Install and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (LGY, RWD)
Charge Air Cooler Coolant Pump Clamp Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Install [3x]
Connect the electrical connectors (1) at the electric belt drive rack and pinion steering gear.

Stabilizer Shaft Link - Left Side and Right Side (1) @ Stabilizer Shaft - Install [2x] - Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE2) , or Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (FE3, FE4)

Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod - Left Side and Right Side (1) @ Steering Knuckle - Install [2x] - Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Replacement (without Blackwing)
- NOTE:

Front Lower Control Rear Link - Left Side and Right Side (1) @ Steering Knuckle - Install [2x] - Front Lower Control Rear Link Replacement (RWD)

Front Lower Control Front Link - Left Side and Right Side (1) @ Steering Knuckle - Install [2x] - Front Lower Control Front Link Replacement (RWD)
Front Crossmember Brace - Left Side (3) - Install - Front Crossmember Brace Replacement - Left Side
Front Crossmember Brace - Right Side (3) - Install - Front Crossmember Brace Replacement - Right Side
Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector (1) - Install - Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Replacement
- NOTE:

Front Tire Front Air Deflector - Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x] - Front Tire Front Air Deflector Replacement (without Blackwing)
Front Compartment Air Deflector (1) - Install - Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement (RWD)
- NOTE:

Front Wheelhouse Liner - Left Side and Right Side (3) - Install [2x] - Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement
Engine Mount Nut - Right Side (1) - Install and tighten - Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side
Engine Mount Nut - Left Side (1) - Install and tighten - Engine Mount Replacement - Left Side
- Remove the wire or strap used to secure the air conditioning condenser, engine coolant fan, and the radiator assembly to the left and right side radiator upper brackets.
- Remove the engine support fixture.
- If the front drivetrain and suspension cradle is replaced, measure and adjust the wheel alignment. Wheel Alignment Measurement
