Removal Procedure

- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief
- Drain the fuel tank. Fuel Tank Draining
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Propeller Shaft - Remove - Propeller Shaft Replacement (with LT4, MJK) , or Propeller Shaft Replacement (with LT4, MHX) , or Propeller Shaft Replacement (AWD)
Underbody Rear Air Deflector-Right Side (4) - Remove - Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side
Underbody Rear Air Deflector-Left Side (4) - Remove - Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement - Left Side
- Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Inlet Pipe - Remove - Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement (MJK) , or Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement (MHX)
- Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Outlet Pipe - Remove - Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement (MJK) , or Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Outlet Pipe Replacement (MHX)
Wiring Harness Connector (1) - Disconnect [2x]
- Retainer (2) - Disengage [5x]
Fuel Tank Vent Valve Hose (1) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Fuel Pump Fuel Feed Hose (2) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp (1) - Loosen
- Fuel Tank Filler Hose - (2) Remove
- Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Hose (3) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Fuel Tank Filler Evaporative Emission Valve Hose (4) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Fuel Tank Vent Hose (5) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Place a suitable adjustable jack under the fuel tank.
- Fuel Tank Strap Bolt (1) - Remove [5x]
- Fuel Tank Strap (2) - Remove [2x]
Fuel Tank (1) - Remove
- Remove the jack.
- Transfer components as necessary.
