Removal Procedure
- Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LGY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LGY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LT4 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LT4 GE 47716)
Air Cleaner Assembly (1) - Remove - Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube (2) - Remove - Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube Replacement
Hose Clamp (1) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
- Radiator Outlet Hose (2) @ Electric Water Pump - Remove - Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LSY) , or Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LGY) , or Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (AWD with LGY Auxiliary Water Pump to Charge Air Cooler) , or Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement (LT4)
Hose Clamp (1) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
- Auxiliary Water Pump Inlet Pipe (2) @ Electric Water Pump - Remove - Auxiliary Water Pump Inlet Pipe Replacement
Engine Wiring Harness Retainer (1) @Engine Wiring Harness Bracket - Remove [2x]
- Electrical Connector (2) @ Electric Water Pump - Disconnect
Water Pump Bolt (1) - Remove
Water Pump Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
Hose Clamp (1) - Disengage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
- Remove the electric water pump (2) from the auxiliary water pump outlet upper hose (3).
Electric Water Pump (1) - Remove
Engine Wiring Harness Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Engine Wiring Harness Bracket (2) - Remove
Water Pump Cover Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
- Water Pump Cover (2) - Remove
Do NOT remove the auxiliary water pump outlet upper hose (3) from the engine coolant thermostat housing inlet pipe.
