Installation Procedure

- Due to the unknown shelf life of the adhesive patch, prepare the NEW brake caliper bracket bolts and bracket threaded holes as follows:
- Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth.
- Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive.
- Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the components. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the component.
Rear Brake Caliper Bracket (1) - Install
- CAUTION:
Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x]
- First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
- Final Pass: 15 - 30 degrees
Disc Brake Pad Spring (1) - Install [2x]
Outer Disc Brake Pad (1) - Install
Inner Disc Brake Pad (1) - Install
Brake Caliper (1) - Install
Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Rear Brake Caliper Replacement (JL9, J56) , or Rear Brake Caliper Replacement (J6H) , or Rear Brake Caliper Replacement (J57)
- Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57)
- Calibrate the park brake. Park Brake Calibration
