Removal Procedure

- Raise the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
- Front Axle Vent Hose - Remove - Front Axle Vent Hose Replacement
- Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft - Left Side - Remove - Front Wheel Drive Half Shaft Replacement - Left Side
- If applicable, remove transmission cooler line, harness bolt, and bracket. Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (LSY, without V03) , or Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Replacement (LGY, AWD)
Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Housing Bolt (2) - Remove [3x]
- Using a suitable flat bladed tool, remove the front wheel drive intermediate shaft housing (1).
- Thoroughly clean and inspect the front wheel drive intermediate shaft housing for damage, if damaged replace the front wheel drive intermediate shaft housing.
NOTE:
The front wheel drive intermediate shaft housing bearing is not serviced separately. If the bearing is worn or damaged, replace the housing assembly.
