Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. CAUTION:

    Disc brake rotor protectors MUST be installed prior to tire and wheel assembly removal to avoid ceramic brake rotor damage due to contact between the tire and wheel assembly and the rotor. If the ceramic brake rotor is damaged replacement may be required.

  3. Install the disc brake rotor protectors and remove the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57) .

    Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Disengage

  5. Rear Disc Brake Pad Wear Sensor (1) @ Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Remove
  6. Wiring Harness Retainer (3) - Disengage
  7. Rear Wheel Speed Sensor (4) @ Wiring Harness Retainer (4) - Remove

    Rear Brake Hose Clip Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  9. Rear Brake Pipe Nut (2) - Remove
  10. Rear Brake Pipe Clip (3) - Remove
  11. Cap the rear brake pipe outlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Rear Brake Hose Fitting (1) - Remove

  13. Rear Brake Hose Fitting Gasket (3) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
  14. Rear Brake Hose (2) @ Rear Brake Caliper - Remove
  15. Plug the rear brake caliper inlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Rear Brake Hose (1) - Remove
