Installation Procedure

    Maneuver the front brake pipe (2) into the vehicle.

  2. Remove the plug from the front brake hose inlet.
  3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Front Brake Pipe Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Front Brake Hose Replacement (J56) , or Front Brake Hose Replacement (JL9) , or Front Brake Hose Replacement (J57, J6H) 
  5. Engine Front Splash Shield- Left Side - Install - Engine Front Splash Shield Replacement (RWD)

    NOTE:

    Some components not shown for graphic clarity.

    Front Brake Pipe Retainer (1) - Install [2x]

  7. Remove the cap from the front brake pipe union.
  8. Front Brake Pipe Nut (2) - Install and tighten - Front Brake Front Pipe Replacement - Left Side (with Blackwing)

    Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (2) - Install - Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger Replacement (LT4)

  10. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  11. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (J57, J6H, JL9) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (J56) 
  12. Install the left front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57)
  13. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  14. Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
