Installation Procedure

Front Brake Hose (1) - Install
Remove the plug from the front brake caliper inlet.
- Front Brake Hose Washer (3) - Install NEW [2x]
- Front Brake Hose (1) @ Front Brake Caliper - Install
- Front Brake Hose Fitting (2) - Install and tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb ft)
Remove the cap from the front brake pipe outlet.
- Front Brake Hose Retainer (2) - Install
- Front Brake Pipe Nut (1) - Install and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft)
- Front Brake Hose Fitting Bolt (3) - Install and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
Install the front wheel speed sensor (3) at the 2 wiring harness retainers (2).
- If equipped, install the front disc brake pad wear sensor (4) at the 4 wiring harness retainers (1, 2).
- Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Engage [2x]
- {If equipped} Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Engage [2x]
- Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (J57, J6H, JL9)
- Check for brake system leaks.
- Engine Front Splash Shield - Install - Engine Front Splash Shield Replacement (AWD) , or Engine Front Splash Shield Replacement (RWD)
- Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (without J57) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (with J57)
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
CAUTION:
