Installation Procedure

  1. Prior to installing the air conditioning compressor perform the air conditioning compressor oil balancing procedure. Air Conditioning Compressor Oil Balancing

    Air Conditioning Compressor (1) - Install

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt (4) - Install and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

  4. Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt (3) - Install and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
  5. Air Conditioning Compressor Stud (2) - Install and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  6. Air Conditioning Compressor Nut (1) - Install and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  7. Air Conditioning Compressor Belt - Install - Air Conditioning Compressor Belt Replacement
  8. Supercharger Belt Tensioner Bracket - Install - Supercharger Belt Tensioner Bracket Replacement

    Engine and Transmission Wiring Harness Bracket (2) - Install

  10. Engine Wiring Harness Bolt (1) - Install and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Air Conditioning Evaporative Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose @ Air Conditioning Compressor (1) - Install - Air Conditioning Evaporative Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose Replacement (LT4)

    Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) @ Air Conditioning Condenser - Install - Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger Replacement (LT4)

    Air Conditioning Evaporative Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose (2) @ Air Conditioning Condenser - Install - Air Conditioning Evaporative Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose Replacement (LT4) 

  14. Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging 
  15. Inspect for refrigerant leaks.
