Air Conditioning Clutch Drive Plate Adjustment (LSY)

Front Compartment Air Deflector (1) - Remove - Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement (AWD) , or Front Compartment Air Deflector Replacement (RWD)
Install the air conditioning clutch shims (2) as needed to achieve the appropriate air gap of 0.25 - 0.41 mm (0.010 - 0.016 in).
Install and hand tighten the air conditioning clutch drive plate (1).
- Measure the air gap between air conditioning clutch drive plate (1) and the air conditioning compressor pulley (2) using the appropriate feeler gauge (3).
- If the air gap is out of range remove the air conditioning clutch drive plate, and add or remove shims as need to achieve the appropriate air gap.
- Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4.
- Use the appropriate tool to hold the air conditioning compressor shaft (3), and the appropriate tool to turn air conditioning clutch drive plate (1) clockwise to tighten to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
