Installation Procedure

NOTE:

Before installing the manual transmission control, ensure that the shift shaft it is clean of dirt or lubricants.

Install the manual transmission control to the transmission.

Install the right manual transmission control lever base pin (2).
Install the left manual transmission control lever base pin (2).

Install the manual transmission control lever base pin (2).
Install the 2 manual transmission control lever base pin retainers (1).
Raise the transmission.

Transmission Mount (2) - Install - Transmission Mount Replacement
Remove the transmission jack.

Pull up and outward on the tabs on the closeout boot (1) to clear the body structure.

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the 4 manual transmission control bracket bolts (1, 2) securing the shift control assembly to the tunnel reinforcement, then tighten to 12 N.m (106 lb in)

NOTE:
Ensure the directional arrow on the boot in installed pointing to the front of the vehicle. If it is installed backwards it will create a squeak.
