Installation Procedure
Engine Mount Bracket (2) - Install
- Engine Mount Bracket Bolt (1) - Install NEW and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
Engine Wiring Harness (2) - Install
- Retainer (1) - Install [3x]{ If equipped }
- CAUTION:
Phenolic spacer must be present to prevent galvanic/corrosive reaction and/or excessive temperature conduction between engine mount bracket and engine mount. Replace mount if phenolic spacer is missing or damaged. Failure to ensure phenolic spacer is intact and not damaged can lead to premature failure of engine mount and/or engine mount bracket.
Ensure the phenolic spacer (3) remains in place.
- Engine Mount (2) - Install
Start the 2 NEW engine mount bolts (2) by hand.
- Using the adjustable jack, lower the engine on to the mount.
- Remove the jack from under engine.
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Lubricate the NEW oil filter gasket with clean engine oil.
- Oil Filter - Install NEW and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Remove the drain pan.
Front Compartment Air Deflector (2) - Install
- Front Compartment Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Install [2x]
- Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Install [2x]
- Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications
- Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Retainer (2) - Install [2x]
- Lower the vehicle.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .
Engine Mount Bolt (2) Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Engine Mount Nut (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
- Connect the battery. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
- Fill the engine oil to the proper level with NEW engine oil.
- Start the engine and check for leaks.
