Crankshaft Position Sensor Inner Exciter Ring (1) - Remove
- Flywheel Locating Pin (2) - Remove
- Disconnect harness retainers from lower oil pan as needed.
Lower Oil Pan Bolt (1) - Remove [18x]
- Do not pry on the oil pan to LCE as the sealing surface will become damaged.
- Use the lower oil pan bolts in the provided jack screw (threaded inserts) in the oil pan. Tighten the jack screw by hand 1 to 2 turn each uniformly and move to the next screw until the oil pan has full separation from the LCE.
- Lower Oil Pan (2) - Remove
Install the EN-52441 Balance Shaft Timing Tool (1) through the hole in the oil pump. Use suitable strap to hold in place.
Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing Bolt (1) - Remove [13x]
- Loosen the crankshaft rear oil seal housing (2) carefully from the engine block, use a suitable tool to pry all the way around.
- Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Housing (2) - Remove and DISCARD
