Installation Procedure

  1. GM5045008
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Intake Manifold Cover Stud (7) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

  2. Intake Air Pressure and Temperature Sensor (5) - Install
  3. Intake Air Pressure and Temperature Sensor Bolt (6) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  4. Crankcase Vent Passage Seal (4) - Install NEW
  5. Intake Manifold Gasket (3) - Install NEW [4x]
  6. Intake Manifold Cover (1) - Install
  7. Intake Manifold Insulator Nut (2) - Install [4x]

    Throttle Body Seal (3) - Install NEW

  9. Throttle Body (2) - Install
  10. Throttle Body Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Intake Manifold (1) - Install

  12. GM5508646

    Intake Manifold Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications

    Retainer (1) - Install

  14. GM5399157

    Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube (2) @ Throttle Body (3) - Install

  15. Retainer Spring (1) - Engage

    Oil Level Indicator Tube (2) - Install

  17. Oil Level Indicator Tube Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Upper Intake Manifold Cover (1) - Install

    Intake Manifold Cover Stud (2) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

  20. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pump (2) - Install

  22. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pump Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  23. GM5504108

    Engine Wiring Harness (4) - Reposition

  24. Retainer (3) - Install [4x]
  25. Electrical Connector (2) - Connect [2x]
  26. Engine Wiring Harness Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Throttle Body Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

  28. GM5504095

    Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose (3) - Reposition

  29. Retainer (2) - Install [3x]
  30. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (1) - Connect

    Evaporative Emission Pipe (2) - Connect

  32. Fuel Feed Pipe (1) - Connect
  33. GM5129466

    Fuel Feed Pipe Bolt (1) @ Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Pump - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    NOTE:

    Ensure the intake manifold cover insulator retainers fully engage the intake manifold cover studs.

    Intake Manifold Cover Insulator (1) - Install

  35. GM5456746

    Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Intake Manifold Cover (1) @ Upper Intake Manifold Bracket (2) - Install

  37. GM5432171

    Push down on the front of the intake manifold cover (2).

  38. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  39. Install the oil fill cap.
  40. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  41. Pressurize the fuel system and inspect for leaks.
  42. Perform the intake system learned values reset. Intake System Learned Values Reset
  43. Perform the throttle body idle air flow compensation reset. Throttle Body Idle Air Flow Compensation Reset
