- If any of the DTCs are set
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- Verify the scan tool parameter:
- Barometric Pressure Sensor = Altitude Versus Barometric Pressure - The value should be within the range listed in the table.
- Barometric Pressure Sensor 2 = Altitude Versus Barometric Pressure - The value should be within the range listed in the table.
- If not in the specified range
Refer to DTC P2228-P2230 or P227C-P227E
- If in the specified range
- Verify the following conditions do not exist:
- B75 Mass Airflow Sensor - Contamination of the measuring element /Cracked/Loose Clamps / Visible Damage/Water intrusion
- O-Ring @ B75 Mass Airflow Sensor/Leaking/Missing/Visible Damage
- If a condition exists
Repair or replace as necessary
- Go to next step: If no condition exists
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Barometric Pressure Sensor & Barometric Pressure Sensor 2 - The value should not spike or drop out.
Perform the action while monitoring the parameter:
- Wiggle the harness and connector: B75 Mass Airflow Sensor
- Wiggle the harness and connector: K20 Engine Control Module
- If the value spikes or drops out
Repair as necessary - Wiring / Terminal(s) / Electrical Connector(s)
- Go to next step: If the value does not spike or drop out
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Replace the component: B75 Mass Airflow Sensor
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
