Removal Procedure

Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

Using an appropriate tool, rotate the drive belt tensioner (1) counterclockwise and hold tension.
Accessory Drive Primary Belt(2) - Remove
Slowly release tension on the accessory drive primary belt tensioner (1).
Remove the oil fill cap.

Intake Manifold Cover Bolt(1) - Remove[2x]
Lift up on the front of the intake manifold cover (2).

Using the J-41769 Fuel Line Quick Disconnect Tool, disconnect and reposition the fuel feed pipe (1).
Evaporative Emission Pipe(2) - Disconnect and reposition

Retainer(2) - Unclip[3x]
Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose(3) - Reposition

Battery Positive Cable Nut(1)@Generator - Remove
Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable(2) - Remove
Electrical Connector(5) - Disconnect
If the generator is being replaced, remove the radiator inlet hose bracket bolt (4) and transfer the radiator inlet hose bracket (3) to the NEW generator.
