Inspection Procedure

  1. GM5044136

    Inspect the valve rocker arm roller (1) for the following:

    • Flat spots
    • Excessive scoring and pitting
    • Ensure the roller spins freely
  2. Inspect the valve rocker arm tip area (2).
  3. Inspect the valve rocker arm retaining clip (3).
  4. Inspect the valve rocker arm hydraulic lash adjuster (HLA) pivot area.
