Terminal Removal Procedure

    NOTE:

    The wire tie MUST be cut above wire cover tab to prevent damage to wires.

    Remove the wire cover by carefully cutting the wire tie with side cutters.

    Move the cam lever to the middle position.

    Unlock the back side of the wire cover. Using a small screwdriver, carefully pry the sides of the cover out (1) and upward (2) to move it past the cover locks.

    Lift the cover and pull it away from the locking lever to remove it completely.

    Once the cover is removed, push the TPA to the released position by inserting the terminal removal tool J-38125-211 into the slot on the connector.

    Verify TPA (1) is in correct positions using these call outs in the picture above.

Locate the terminal removal access holes at the front of the connector. Insert removal tool EL-38125-560-A straight into the access holes to deflect the terminal locking tabs. With the terminal unseated, gently pull on the wire to remove it from the connector.

2.8 Terminals

Locate the terminal removal access holes at the front of the connector. Insert removal tool J-38125-36 straight into the access holes to deflect the terminal locking tabs. With the terminal unseated, gently pull on the wire to remove it from the connector.
