Terminal Removal Procedure

1.5 Terminals
- NOTE:
There are 2 different types of TPAs for this connector series shown in the figures above step 2.
Release the TPA by using a small pair of needle nose pliers to grab the TPA.
- Gently pull the TPA back approximately 5.0 mm until the TPA is in the released position.
- Gently insert the terminal removal tool J-38125-217 into the terminal service hole for the terminal being serviced.
- Push straight down into the hole to release the terminal locking tab. Prying is not required.
Once the locking tab is released, gently pull on the wire to remove the terminal from the connector.
2.8 Terminals

- Push straight down into the hole to release the terminal locking tab. Prying is not required.
Once the locking tab is released, gently pull on the wire to remove the terminal from the connector.
