Terminal Removal Procedure

- NOTE:
The wire tie MUST be cut above wire dress tab to prevent damage to wires.
Remove the wire cover by carefully cutting the wire tie with side cutters.
Use a small flat blade screwdriver to release the retention tabs of the wire cover and then lift the cover off the connector assembly.
Insert a small screwdriver under the TPA and gently pry it open.
- (1) 1.2 mm terminal
- (2) 2.8 Terminal
- This connector has 2 different size terminals, release access holes and terminal tools. The terminal size can be identified in the image above.
- Gently insert the J-38125 - 215A terminal release tool for 1.2 terminals or J-38125-557 terminal release tool for 2.8 terminals to release the terminal. Once the terminal is released, pull the terminal to remove it from the connector.
