Terminal Removal Procedure

  1. Cut the wire tie off the wire cover.

    Remove the wire cover by inserting a small flat blade screwdriver into the windows of the female outer housing. Slowly twist the screwdriver to release the latches. Once the latching features are disengaged the cover can be pulled away from the connector.

    Move the TPA to the open position by inserting a small flat blade screwdriver into the cutout in the front of the connector.

    Gently pry the TPA away from the inner housing until the TPA is in the open position.

    From the mating face of the connector insert the terminal removal tool J-38125-215A into the access hole above the terminal being serviced. Gently rotate (1) the tool towards the terminal body, lifting the latch finger (2).

  6. Gently pull on the wire and remove the terminal from the connector.
