Terminal Removal Procedure

    NOTE:

    The wire tie MUST be cut above wire dress tab to prevent damage to wires.

    Remove the wire cover by carefully cutting the wire tie with side cutters.

    Use a small flat blade screwdriver to release the retention tabs of the wire cover and then lift the cover off the connector assembly.

    Insert a small screwdriver under the TPA and gently pry it open.

    • (1) 0.5 mm terminal
    • (2) 0.5 Terminal Release Access
    • (3) 1.2 Terminal Release Access
    • (4) 1.2 mm terminal
  4. This connector has 2 different size terminals, release access holes and terminal tools. The terminal size and release access holes can be identified in the image above.

    • 0.5 terminal release tool EL-38125 - 58

    • 1.2 terminal release tool J-38125 - 215A
  5. Gently insert the EL-38125 - 58 terminal release tool for 0.5 terminals or J-38125 - 215A terminal release tool for 1.2 terminals to release the terminal. Once the terminal is released, pull the terminal to remove it from the connector.
