Circuit/System Verification

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2022 Cadillac CT4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Verify A22 Radio Control displays infotainment system information properly.
    • Go to next step: If infotainment system information displays properly
  2. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  3. Verify DTC B1236 is not set in any other module.
    • Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
  4. Engine running, parking brake applied, transmission in REVERSE.
  5. NOTE:

An open in the backup lamp control circuit, defective backup lamps, or incorrect/aftermarket backup lamps can cause erratic circuit behavior such as unwanted voltage on circuit when vehicle is no longer in REVERSE. The rear vision image display remaining active after the vehicle is shifted out of REVERSE can also be an indication of backup lamp control circuit issues.

  6. Verify the backup lamps are illuminated.
    • Go to next step: If the backup lamps are illuminated
  7. Engine running, parking brake applied, transmission in REVERSE.
  8. NOTE:

A poor quality image is an image that has flickering, blinking, excessively blue/yellow hue, and/or fog/haze such that it obstructs the driver's view out the rear of the vehicle.

  9. Verify a clear rear vision image is displayed on the A22 Radio Control.
    • If a clear image is not displayed

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If a clear image is displayed
  10. All OK.
