Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

    Front Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

    Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

  8. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Remove [5x]
  9. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Remove [4x]
  10. Engine Front Splash Shield (3) - Remove

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Remove [7x]

  12. Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (2) - Remove [4x]

    Remove the left side upper front bumper fascia bolt (2).

    Front Wheelhouse Liner- Right Side (1) - Reposition

  16. Remove the right side upper front bumper fascia bolt (2).

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Screw (1) - Remove [3x]

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Screw (1) - Remove [9x]

    Front Bumper Fascia Bolt (1) - Remove [6x]

    On the left side of the front bumper fascia carefully push a small nylon wedge between the front bumper fascia (1), the front bumper fascia guide (2), and the front headlamp (3). Insert a suitable flat-bladed plastic trim tool into the fascia slot and depress the snaps one at a time and pull on the fascia at the same time to gradually remove the left side of the front bumper fascia.

    Reposition the front bumper fascia on the right side to gain access to the electrical connector (1).

  24. Disconnect the electrical connector.

    On the left side of the front bumper fascia carefully push a small nylon wedge between the front bumper fascia (1), the front bumper fascia guide (2), and the front headlamp (3). Insert a suitable flat-bladed plastic trim tool into the fascia slot and depress the snaps one at a time and pull on the fascia at the same time to gradually remove the left side of the front bumper fascia.

    With the aid of an assistant, remove the fascia. (1) -

    Front Bumper Fascia Support Brace Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

    Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

    Horn Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  32. Horn (2) - Reposition [2x]

    Reposition the wiring harness and baffle retainers.

  34. Front Bumper Impact Bar Bolt (1) - Remove [8x]
  35. Front Bumper Impact Bar (2) - Remove
  36. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Body Wiring Harness Fuse Block Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

    Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger Clip (1) - Release

  40. Engine Control Module Bracket Bolt (2) - Remove [2x]
  41. Engine Control Module Bracket Nut (3) - Remove
  42. Engine Control Module Bracket (4) - Reposition

    Battery Negative Cable Ground Bolt (1) - Remove

  44. Battery Negative Cable Ground (2) Reposition
  45. Disconnect the transmission control module electrical connector. (3)

    Charge Air Cooler Bracket Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

    Front Compartment Front Panel Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

    Front Bumper Fascia Energy Absorber Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  51. Front Compartment Front Panel Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

    Slide the front bumper energy absorber (1) out from the front compartment side rail.
