Removal Procedure
Front Seat (2) - Remove - Front Seat Removal and Installation , or Front Seat Removal and Installation (Blackwing)
Front Seat Cushion Front Finish Cover Bolt (1) - Remove
- Front Seat Cushion Outer Finish Cover Bolt -Front (2) - Remove
- Front Seat Cushion Front Finish Cover (3) - Remove
Front Seat Cushion Outer Finish Cover Bolt -Rear (1) - Remove
- Squeeze the retainer to release.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Front Seat Cushion Outer Finish Cover (2) - Remove
Front Seat Adjuster Finish Cover Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Front Seat Inner Adjuster Front Finish Cover (2) - Remove
Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tab.
- Front Seat Back Upper Cover (1) - Remove [2x]
- NOTE:
It may take considerable force to remove the front seat head restraint.
Grasping the top of the front seat head restraint (1), pull forward and down to release the retaining tab from the front seat back finish panel.
- Front Seat Head Restraint (1) - Remove
Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs.
- Front Seat Cushion Front Finish Cover (1) - Remove
Front Seat Back Finish Panel Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]
- Release the upper front seat back finish panel tabs from the front seat head restraint frame.
- Release the upper front seat back cover J-channel retainers and reposition the upper front seat back cover as necessary to access the spring clip retainers.
- Use an appropriate tool to release the spring clip retainers.
- Front Seat Back Finish Panel (2) - Remove
Front Seat Back Rear Lower Cover Retainer (1) - Remove [2x]
- Release the front seat back rear lower cover bottom bungee clips from the cushion pan.
- Front Seat Back Rear Lower Cover (2) - Remove
Front Seat Vent Fan Control Module Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the retainers holding the front seat back ventilation blower to the front seat back cushion vent fan mat.
- Front Seat Back Ventilation Blower (2) - Remove
Reposition the front seat back cover and pad as needed.
- Front Seat Outboard Seat Back Airbag Nut (1) - Remove [2x]
- Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) from the module electrical connector.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the front seat outboard seat back airbag (2) through the bottom opening of the chute.
Release the J-channel retainers from the seat back frame.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the front seat back cover and pad (1) as an assembly.
