Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Driver Shift Control Mode Switch @ K9 Body Control Module = Inactive
- If not the specified state
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- Press and hold the switch: S2L Automatic Transmission Manual Shift Auxiliary Position Switch - Left
Verify the scan tool parameter: Driver Shift Control Mode Switch @ K9 Body Control Module = Downshift
- If not the specified state
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- Press and hold the switch: S2R Automatic Transmission Manual Shift Auxiliary Position Switch - Right
Verify the scan tool parameter: Driver Shift Control Mode Switch @ K9 Body Control Module = Upshift
- If not the specified state
Refer to: Circuit/System Testing
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- Operate the component: Steering Wheel - Rotate the component 360° in one direction and then 360° in the other direction.
Verify the scan tool parameter: Driver Shift Control Mode Switch @ K9 Body Control Module = Inactive - The parameter state should not change.
- If not the specified state
Replace the component: X85 Steering Wheel Air Bag Coil
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets

- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
